Five UConn linguists presented at WAFL Workshop on Altaic Formal Linguistics held at the International Christian University in Tokyo Japan, May 25-28.

Akihiko Arano presented a talk titled "Two Types of Multiple Scrambling in Japanese".

Yuta Sakamoto and Hiroaki Saito presented a talk titled "Covertly Saturated Particles in Japanese". 

Jayeon Park presented a poster titled "The Highest Edge Effect and Its Implications on Binding domain in Korean". 

Hiroaki Saito presented a poster titled "Looking through the monster". 

Yuta Tatsumi presented a poster titled "A compositional analysis of Japanese person pronouns".
